The time has come! Our little Elf is arriving tonight after midnight. I will tell you a funny story though. Yesterday my husband took the little guy out for a day of "honey do" list shopping- just so I could get our little Elf in order if you know what I mean! lol Anyway, I made the magic mailbox, passport, letter from Santa and all was turning out great until....
I went upstairs to retrieve the elf from the discounted wreath that I bought for $4 way back in the summertime. I should have looked at him better when I bought him. You know, make sure he was OK. Well I took the little bugger off the wreath in which he was hot glued and...
His head fell off! I am NOT KIDDING! Darn head hanging by a thread, stuffing coming out. OMG! I had about a half hour to complete everything PLUS sew the head back on. Oh the things we do in the name of love for our children. I was a wreck! Thankfully I got it back on, the elf is smiling again and all is good except...
I put the wrong date on the passport & the letter from Santa! OMG! What else? I apparently thought Monday was the 1st. No, I haven't been drinking. At least not at the time I was making all this stuff, that came later. So this morning I got the wee man on the bus and gave it another go! Since I stamped the day on the passport (Jolee's 3-d embellishment with pages) I had to sand off the wrong day and stamp a new one. I didn't feel like typing a whole new letter so I put a sticker over the wrong day. I know what a loser. But if you saw the letter you would agree, typing it over would be a nightmare. All the italics and different inks - what a pain! Sticker it is!
It's almost noon. All is good. At least I think.
